URL for Testing the Splash Page and User Credentials

Modified on Wed, 9 Jul at 4:59 PM

The following link, when modified for your site, allows you to test credentials:

https://thesatellite.satellitedeskworks.com/nac/check-in?locationId=thesatellite@1&redirectUrl=blah&mac=666

How to Modify the Test Link:

  1. Change "thesatellite" (in two locations) to your Deskworks URL subdomain:

https://thesatellite.satellitedeskworks.com/nac/check-in?locationId=thesatellite@1&redirectUrl=blah&mac=666

  1. Change "satellitedeskworks.com" to your Deskworks URL domain (e.g. mydeskworks.com, your-company.app, etc.):

            https://thesatellite.satellitedeskworks.com/nac/check-in?locationId=thesatellite@1&redirectUrl=blah&mac=666

  1. Change "1" after @ to the location ID of your center. (You can see your location ID in your URL bar following "center=??", where ?? is your location ID, for example:

https://thesatellite.satellitedeskworks.com/dashboard-admin?center=1

Understanding Test Results:

If the credentials are valid, you'll be redirected to a screen that displays "Not Found":

If the credentials are NOT valid, an error message will be displayed in RED stating that you have entered an "YOU'RE NOT AUTHORIZED TO ACCESS":

Troubleshooting Steps:

  1. Update the Password in Deskworks and attempt the test again.
  2. If the credentials still don't work, give the user the Access Code of Day and submit a ticket to our Support Team requesting we re-push credentials for the user to the authentication service. Please include details such as the user's name, email, and login as well as a screenshot of the specific error you received from the test.
