How does Intelligent Network Check-in work?

Intelligent Network Check-In makes it easy to track who’s in your space without extra steps for your members or staff.


It works with our customized MikroTik firewall/router or Isofy integration, along with Deskworks’ cloud-based authentication service.


How It Works

  1. One-time sign-in: The first time a member connects to your network, they’ll see a splash page asking them to log in with their Deskworks username and password.
  2. Automatic check-in: After that, Deskworks automatically recognizes their device’s MAC address whenever they connect. They’re checked in as soon as they join the network. No manual sign-in needed!
  3. Automatic check-out: When they disconnect, they’re checked out automatically.

You can see all check-ins and check-outs on the Check-In/Check-Out Log under the Usage tab in your Deskworks menu.


Why It's Great

  • It makes tracking usage simple and accurate.
  • You can easily track usage against reservations and part-time plans (e.g 5-days/month or pay-as-you-go) to analyze trends and bill for overages automatically. 
  • Non-members can easily buy a day pass right from the splash page, giving them instant Wi-Fi access for the duration of their visit. They’re automatically disconnected when their pass expires.
  • Each reservation includes a unique Wi-Fi Access Code so non-members and guests can only connect during their booked time.
