Setting up Deskworks Recurring-Rate Updater

Modified on Thu, 12 Dec at 9:28 AM

Deskworks' Pro Feature, Recurring-Rate Updater, allows you to set up automatic price increases, either on the Anniversary of when a Recurring Billing started OR on the Renewal Date of a Recurring Billing. This is a Global feature for your entire operation. You can also override the increase percentage for any individual Recurring Billing.

For example, if you set up a global increase of 5% annually, and you want Joe Smith's Office 1 Price to not increase each year, you can set his increase to 0% right in his Recurring Billing.

To set the feature up:

  1. Go to SETUP > SETTINGS, and locate the BILLING FEATURES section.
  2. Check the box for 'Auto-Increase Recurring Billing Price'.
  3. Once checked, a drop-down appears, allowing you to set the 'Global Percentage Increase' and whether you want the increase to be triggered by the 'Anniversary of Recurring Billing Start Date' or by 'Recurring Billing Renewal Date'.

  4. On the Increase Date, the Recurring Billing will display the new price in the Custom Price field:

To create an Automatic Price Increase for each Recurring Billing individually:

  • Check the box in SETTINGS for 'Auto-Increase Recurring Billing Price' (see above).
  • Set the Global Increase % to 0 "on" either the Plan Anniversary or Renewal Date.
  • In any individual Recurring Billing, set the PRICE INCREASE OVERRIDE as desired, by either % or $

NOTES:

1. If you select to increase on Renewal Date, and a particular Recurring Billing does not have a Renewal Date entered, no increase will occur.

2. If you select Plan Anniversary Date, Price will increase on the first billing one year after Start Date, and every year thereafter, whether Renewal Date is entered or not.

3. If a Custom Price is entered in the Recurring Billing, the increase will be based on the Custom Price. If there is not a Custom Price, the standard price will increase by the Global Increase Percentage or $, creating a Custom Price. Thereafter the increase will operate on the Custom Price.
