No. Each profile in Deskworks needs a unique email address. If you try to use an email address that is already connected to another profile, you may see an error that says: “Email has already been taken.”
Deskworks uses the email address to tell profiles apart. This helps keep reservations, invoices, payments, and account activity connected to the correct profile.
What if someone has two businesses or needs two accounts?
You can use plus addressing to create a unique email address that still goes to the same inbox.
Plus addressing means adding a plus sign and extra text before the @ symbol in an email address.
For example, if this email is already in use:
example@email.com
Create the second profile using something like:
example+1@email.com
or
example+text@email.com
Emails sent to either address should still go to the original inbox at example@email.com, but Deskworks will recognize them as different email addresses.
You can put almost anything after the plus sign, such as:
example+CompanyABC@email.com
example+123456@email.com
example+billing@email.com
This is helpful when one person has multiple businesses, organizations, or billing accounts but wants to receive all emails in one inbox.
Note: Most email providers support plus addressing, but some may not. If emails are not received, use a different email address for the second profile.
